The prestigious international magazine Fastener + Fixing Magazine featured the participation of our Business Development Director, José Machado, in its issue no. 155 (September–October 2025). In his article entitled “A sector in full transformation”, he provides an in-depth analysis of how industrialization and digitalization are transforming the construction sector, with industrial fastening systems playing a key role.
Over the past two decades, sectors such as automotive and electronics have experienced exponential productivity growth thanks to smart factories. However, in construction, progress has been slower. In this context, José Machado explains how industrialized construction can reverse this trend by delivering efficiency, precision, and sustainability.
The article highlights the multiple advantages of this model:
- Reduced timeframes and costs (between 25% and 40% compared to traditional construction).
- Lower uncertainty and waste.
- Greater traceability and quality of the final product.
- Optimization of human and material resources.
It also emphasizes a strategic aspect for Industrial Recense: the decisive role of fastening systems in assembling structural components, prefabricated panels, hybrid modules, lightweight structures, and sustainable construction solutions. The quality, precision, and repeatability of these fasteners are essential to ensure the efficiency and safety of the entire construction system.
The article also addresses a growing challenge: the aging of the construction workforce and the difficulty in attracting new technical profiles. In this regard, industrialization is presented as a solution capable of generating qualified employment and responding to the structural housing shortage in countries such as Spain.
Finally, it mentions the role of associations such as ASEFAVE or the Cluster of High-Efficiency Industrialized Construction (of which Industrial Recense is a member) as key drivers of this transformation.
